The goal of our company is continual research and development in order to bring you the most effective, value for money, portable evaporative coolers available.
The Transcool air coolers come together at our factory in Kyneton, Victoria using local and imported components.
Each Transcool unit is thoroughly tested at each stage during construction by experienced qualified staff with a keen eye for detail.
We have a strong focus on prompt customer service, from sales through to service and backup.
Donegan Assistance Group Pty Ltd, manufacturer of the Transcool portable cooler, was founded in 2000 by Peter Donegan in Kyneton, Victoria.
Peter grew up on a farm near Kyneton, Victoria.
From an early age Peter had a keen interest for anything mechanical or electrical, and this coupled with a flare for creativity led to some crazy contraptions being created in the workshop of the Pipers Creek Farm with siblings Tim and Joe. A strong passion for motorcycles saw Peter embark on a career resulting with a trade qualification as a Motorcycle mechanic. This led onto a management role in a motorcycle store based in Bendigo, Victoria until 1995.
Peter created a Funeral Transfer service in 1996, which arranged and conducted the covert transfer of deceased across the width and breadth of Australia. The business was an overwhelming success built on the morals of dignity, care and attention to detail. Peter sold this business in 2000, to partake in the operation of the family transport business, Donegan Transport in Kyneton.
Peter’s main aim was to streamline all operations of the transport business, as well as driving trucks when required. It was when trying to get to sleep in a hot truck sleeper bunk on a trip to Sydney in 2001 that the idea for a small, compact and energy efficient 12 volt evaporative cooler was born.
Since then an almost fanatical obsession for small, portable evaporative coolers has become Peter’s all consuming desire!
Peter can be found throughout the year developing new prototype coolers, as well as demonstrating the Transcool product at numerous caravan, camping, truck and boat shows throughout Australia, USA and Europ
